Presses are one of the main resources in many industry fields.Whether it is about forging, blanking or drawing presses, or moulding/blowing and diecasting machines, in addition to large masses, the working cycle creates significant dynamic forces that can affect, in different ways, the working environment.
The most immediate and obvious effect is about the disturbance suffered from the operators working on the machine or in the near surroundings.Another effect, less evident in the short time, is the potential damage of the civil structures (floor cracks, bearing structures degradation) because of the repeated and continuous stresses generated from the long-time use of the machinery.Furthermore, the press itself suffers from the residual (in eccess, not used in the manufacturing process) energies, showing, in the passing of time, malfunctionings or damages, due to shocks and mechanical fatigue.Lastly, also the accessories (feeders, cutters, control panels, switchboards…) bound to the press could suffer from these stresses, needing peculiar antivibration/antishock solutions.
Whatever the press, Caribul, thanks to the expertise coming from a 40 years based know-how and to the use of various materials (springs, rubber, steel cushions and wire ropes, viscous fluids) can suggest the optimum solution, combining the right stress insulation with the productive and budget needs of each plant and company. Also an accurate analysis of the existing situation can lead to tuning the solution both with the peculiar machine and the flooring where it will be installed (e.g. slabs, upper floors), to avoid resonances due to frequencies overlapping.
On metalworking presses (forging, coining, blanking, drawing) the best performances can be achieved using the “CK” serie, where the static and dynamic loads are handled by a set of steel spring (widely sized for the safety and for a long lifetime, no maintenance needed) boxed in a sturdy steel case, together with – according to different installations – peculiar dampening devices. The sizing of the AVmount set must be strictly related to the dynamic features of the press, to benefit at the best of its performances but having, at the same time, an effective vibration insulation. For this reason, for instance, in some installations (e.g. screw presses), a suitable interface (between the press and the mounts) structure is calculated to keep in account the dynamic forces generated from the working cycle. On the same presses, anyway, Caribul can suggest also simpler solutions, space-saving and cheaper, providing good level performances, always according to each customer’s needs.
About horizontal presses (plastic moulding/blowing, diecasting), Caribul developed a wide range of special mounts: in these installations the simple (“AC” serie) or levelling (“Level” serie) mounts can be supplied, according to the machine features, both having high-quality NBR rubber (special formulation to be oilproof, ozoneproof and saltnessproof) or AISI304 stainless steel moulded cushions.
The last technology, fully metallic, is completely insensitive to ageing and pollutants, ensuring a constant and unchanging performances during time.
